To Hmong people, we have titled orders for experienced and wiser elders. We follow our social arrangements which based on Hmong tradition and culture. There's no title "King" among Hmong people, because we already have the headers of clans and their branches...
-
The title “king” doesn’t refer to an emperor; a “Hmong king” was always as close and friendly as a leader in Hmong society. Our great grandfather established “Hmong empire” in the North East Vietnam, by the border with China. His name is Vaj Zoov Lung (or Vuong Chinh Duc, in Vietnamese).
-
From 1903 to 1945, he represented Hmong community solving Hmong – French’s conflicts, co-ordinated Hmong Laos and Hmong China in Pa Chay’s revolution in 1918.
-
In 1928, under the reign of The Nguyen, Khai Dinh The 13th, South Vietnam king, Vaj Zoov Lung (Vuong Chinh Duc) was imperialized "Northern boundary bureaucrat", with decree; to work directly with French colonial governors and king of South Vietnam. He was given a Legion of Honour by French, and medals by Laos and Cambodia Royal.
-
When Vaj Zoov Lung passed away in 1947, his son and lately, grandson, continuously involved. The word “Hmong king” propagates until today.
